Vanilla

The term vanilla hass its origin in the Spanish word "vanillia" derived "little pod". The original home of the orchid plant is Mexico, where ut was used prior to the discovery of America, vanilla refining of cocoa by the Aztecs.
Vanilla is one of the finest seasonings and is used nearly exclusivly for desserts. It is used for the refinement of sweets and goes particularly well with chocolate. Vanilla is one of the most important ingredients of creme de cacao and Gaillano, two popular liqueurs.
