Cinnamon (grounded)

Cinnamon as well as the closely related cassia (Chinese cinnamon) have long been part of ancient rituals. The Egyptians used it in embalming, in the Old Testament there are always references that show that this spice was world more precious than gold, in the flowerish language of the Victorians cinnamon meant "my fortune is yours", Austrians gave a bouquet with cinnamon sticks to each other- as sign of their affection.
In ground state, it is used for gingerbread, apple cake, various pies, sponge cakes, donuts, rice and milk dishes, and cinnamon stick in a stewed fruit, fruit soups, gravies, mulled wine and other sweet drinks.
