Dill

Its name comes from the Norwegian "dill" which means "calm". This also indivates the calming effect of dill infusion for children. In medieval times it was said to have magical powers, witches have used it in the preparation of love potions.
Dill is a favorite spice of Hungarian cuisine but used for its versatility in all world cuisines. The famous dill sauce blends well with beef and chicken, meatballs, different kinds of fish, crab and snail dishes. The pumpkin soup with sour cream and stuffed squash is not immaginable without dill.
