Ginger

The name is derived from the Sanskrit word "singabera" which means "shaped like a horn." This became the Greek "zingiberi" and finally the Latin name "zingiber". Ginger is native in China or India, where in BC 500 in the writings of the philosopher Confucius it is mentioned.
Ginger fits perfectly with different curries and fried dishes. Ginger slices are added to marinades and added to the fish during cooking. Grated or crushed ginger is suitable for pies and dishes with a fine consistency. It harmonizes with fried chopped or raw with salads. Pickled Ginger serves as a starter or for savory dishes.
