Pink peppercorns

In pink peppercorns are not true pepper. The berries of the Brazilian pepper tree are pungent and pepperyand have the same size as real peppercorns.
The berries are harvested ripe and dried or pickled in brine. The flavor develops ish only when they shed the pounds: they were slightly sweet and peppery flavor and its draws from this.
Mixed with real pepper, they provide a decorative table condiment. You used to like to fish as well as spice in the dishes of Mediterranean cuisine.
Pink peppercorns should be eaten only in small quantities (12-15 seeds per dish), because in large quantities they may have harmful effects.
