Nigella (black carraway)

Also called black onion seeds, which are the seeds of the perennial Nigella Sativa plant. The seeds are a popular spice in the Arabic-Turkish cuisine.
The black cumin can be eaten alone or as a dietary supplement because it is very nutritious (the black seed oils are also excellent!). Mostly it is used for a variety of breads, they are sprinkled with nigella, it is also perfectly fine with sauerkraut dishes. It is a joy to experiment with it.
