Lovage

The common German name "Maggi herb" for the lovage illustrates its flavor, which actually recalls the soups and sauces spice developed by the Julius Maggi. Its greatest popularity and proliferation of lovage was probably in the Roman cookery but still likes to flavor salads, sauces, marinades, soups and stews.
A very intriguing recommendation is to crystallize the stems to give the typical sweet spice notes estates background.
