Bear´s garlic (wild garlic)

The bear´s or wild garlic is related with chives, onion and garlic. The wild garlic appears in most of Europe with the exception of the evergreen Mediterranean region and the Great Hungarian Plain, to North Asia (Asia Minor, the Caucasus), at altitudes from sea level up to 1.900 meters (Alps). It is common and is found mostly in large flocks in shady, moist and humus-rich lowland forests and deciduous forests, wetlands, ravines, under shrubs or along streams.
The wild garlic is a well-known vegetable, spice and medicinal herb. Although the plant is completely edible but the leaves often with stems are primarily used, fresh as a seasoning, or for dips, herb butter and pesto, or more generally as a vegetable in the spring kitchen.
